Lena Dunham about presidential election: Hillary Clinton is the most qualified person for the job

The American actress, director and book author Lena Dunham would support Hillary Clinton in the election campaign for the Presidency. During an event hosted by the German ZEITmagazin in Berlin she said: „I don’t think there is anybody more qualified at the moment to do this job.” Dunham said she hopes that Clinton will stand as a candidate of the Democrats in the election.

Lena Dunham herself is not afraid of commenting on political questions in public. However, in Berlin she admitted to have become more careful with public statements in order to protect herself and her family. Critical voices would not stop her from expressing her point of view though: „I will not stop to be a political voice.”

Lena Dunham, 28, has become famous for her TV series „Girls“. In Berlin she presented her book „Not that kind of girl“, which has been published in Germany by S. Fischer. The book presentation – moderated by ZEITmagazin editor-in-chief Christoph Amend – took place on December 7, 2014, at Deutsches Theater Berlin.
