Thomas Tuchel takes stock of his time as coach of Borussia Dortmund: “It’s clear to me: If we hadn’t won the cup and finished third in the league, things would have looked worse for me.”

Privately he feels still attached to the city after his dismissal: “My wife and I feel at home in Dortmund. We have made close friends here, we have found a nice house, and our daughters have been looking forward to going to the same class in autumn for six months. That is what convinced us.”
